Matt Doonan has been Inspira Health’s General Counsel for the past seven years. He has spent the majority of his career exclusively serving as in-house counsel to hospitals and hospital systems, advising the board and management on a wide variety of legal matters, strategic matters, and on corporate governance matters. Prior to joining Inspira Health, he was in-house counsel at Trinity Health, which was formerly Catholic Health East. Before that, he was in-house counsel for The Cooper Health System, a large academic medical and trauma center in Camden, New Jersey. He also was in private practice at a regional South New Jersey law firm focusing on commercial litigation and corporate transactions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University Maryland and a law degree from Rutgers University School of Law. Following his graduation from law school, he served in a clerkship for the Hon. Steven J. Bernstein, J.S.C.
