Amy serves
as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer for Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS). She previously served as Vice President, Legal Affairs for the HSHS Central Illinois Division. She works collaboratively with HSHS leadership on governance, legal
services, risk management, and compliance. Amy believes that by putting the patient at the center of decision-making, everything else will fall into place. She and her team deliver support to colleagues to keep their focus at the bedside.
Amy joined the HSHS family in 2010 after working in private practice where she specialized in healthcare law and the defense of physicians in medical malpractice claims. In 2020, Amy was selected as one of the Top 25 Emerging Leaders by Modern Healthcare.
She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in history and honors research. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate and Health Law Certificate from the Health Law Program at St. Louis University School of
Law and her executive M.B.A. from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
