Peggy Naas, MD
Chief Medical Officer, Healthcare Performance Improvement
Peggy Naas is the Chief Medical Officer of Healthcare Performance Improvement. Peggy has over 25 years of surgical experience as an orthopedic surgeon and physician leader in clinical, administrative, and governance leadership. Peggy is a nationally recognized speaker in topics of reliability, clinical improvement, bundled payments, and new models of care delivery. She has held leadership roles at Aspen Medical Group, Allina Health, and in Voluntary Hospitals of America (VHA). She has most recently led clinical improvement and safety efforts in VHA’s Hospital Engagement Network and as a member of the AHA McKesson Quest for Quality Committee. Peggy has also led educational executive networks in new models of payment and care delivery. Peggy serves on the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Health Care Systems Committee, she is a board certified orthopedic surgeon, and holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Peggy completed her general surgery internship at Hennepin County Medical Center, and her orthopedic residency at the University of Minnesota, where she also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
