The Federal Trade Commission has healthcare in its sights for transactions and contracting that violate antitrust laws. At the same time, the forces reshaping healthcare (including forces prompted by the federal government itself in healthcare reform and promotion of electronic health records) are driving health systems, physician practices, and other provider organizations to seek scale and find ways to align instead of remaining holed up in their silos.

This Webinar will explore the balance between strategy and antitrust considerations, with a focus on three strategic areas: physician–hospital alignment transactions; payer contracting relationships that exclude competitors; and bundled payments and pricing.

After viewing this Webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the antitrust risks in pursuing each of these strategies.
  • Describe and consider alternate methods of pursuing these strategies that may mitigate the legal risks.

This 60-minute program will include a live question/answer session.
