Using data from The Governance Institute’s 2007 biennial survey, CMS Hospital Compare data, and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Inpatient Quality Indicators, AHRQ found that better quality performance is significantly associated with the adoption of six governance practices as well as the existence of a board quality committee. The findings are summarized in the full article.
