The Governance Institute gathered two groups of board members, CEOs, CNOs, CFOs, CMOs/VPMAs, and other hospital leaders at the May 2010 Leadership Conference for a unique focus group discussion on hospital/health system efforts to reduce hospital admissions. The discussion included health reform and payment implications of hospital readmissions for certain conditions, the patient experience post-discharge, and strategies to improve the patient experience after the patient leaves the hospital.
