Joel Wernick, FACHE, president & CEO of Phoebe Putney Health System shares his unique story with Dr. Ewell in this interview. The health system was targeted by both Richard Scruggs and Senator Grassley (one of the "Grassley 10"). Through this experience, Mr. Wernick and his board learned the importance of transparency, and he explains the steps the board took to increase their transparency and public reporting of charity care and community benefit.
