 Governance Support Templates
These documents contain templates and samples of basic job descriptions, committee charters, meeting agendas and other board packet information, performance evaluations, guidelines, and policies for non-profit hospital and health system boards of directors.

These represent only a few of the templates and samples The Governance Institute collects from members, our governance advisors, and other industry experts. The collection was chosen based on the “basics” of good governance—things all boards should have and be familiar with.

We will be adding to this collection on a regular basis. If there is a sample or template that you would like to have that is not included in this collection, contact The Governance Institute at (877) 712-8778, and we can send you additional samples upon request.

A Governance Institute Webinar
Laying the Foundation for Successful Clinical Integration

The payment reform initiatives within the Affordable Care Act have increased hospitals’ and physicians’ interest in becoming more clinically integrated. Since successful clinical integration can result in additional revenue during a time of decreased reimbursement, most boards and senior management teams are trying to determine whether they will invest in developing medical homes, accountable care organizations, bundled payment models, etc.

However, the concept of clinical integration is not new; it has been the goal of many forward-thinking provider organizations for years. Coordinating and managing patient care helps ensure that healthcare is patient-focused, high-quality, and low-cost. Whether the Affordable Care Act gets repealed or modified, boards and their management teams should determine how to lay the foundation for achieving true clinical integration.

The following questions, among others, are covered in this program:

  • What is the board’s role in physician alignment and clinical integration efforts?
  • What are the various models of clinical integration and physician alignment?
  • How can hospitals and health systems set a solid foundation for achieving successful clinical integration?

Pamela R. Knecht and Dan Grauman
